any Debian package, but libg++2.8 is installed. I've
also made a symlink from 2.7.2.8 to 2.8, followed by a "ldconfig -v", but
the problem persists.
In which package is the latest libstdc++ supposed to be located?

in the debconf package. I will report it as a bug after further investigation.

D-Writer Plus (8200-series). Could the CD-ROM be the problem
(because it's also a Writer)? It *is* recognized during boot.

se is correctly installed (dpkg --list reported that is *was*
intalled on on my system, but with no version number, but a dpkg --contents
on the archive showed that is was, in fact, not installed properly).
