Anyone know where to get mozilla .9 or .9.1 debs for potato? I
would've thought that ximian would be making them, but .9 has been out
for a long time and I haven't seen a package update for mozilla.
Anyone know their status?

I eventually got to a black screen with an immobile mouse and an
unresponsive keyboard. I had to reboot.
Sometimes necessary, but often not. You'll also want to read up on
the
magic sysrq key combinations. I've got these taped up in
strategic
locations.
What are these magic sysrq key
I was thinking it could be a termination issue, but I have a
terminator on the last connector of the cable. The setup (which was
working before a drive went) was thus: drive 1, drive 2, terminator
(active, I believe). Drive 2 is the one that died so there is a non-
used connector between the
I had a rather odd problem. I have an all SCSI system that includes 2
disks, 1 burner, and 1 cd-rom. A few days ago, one of my HDs stopped
working. It can't spin up, but is still identified by the SCSI Bios
and by Linux. When I try to boot Linux, it tries to spin up the drive

I tried posting this question a while ago, but I received no reponses.
I looked in the mailing list archives and it doesn't appear there
either, which is probably why I got no responses. Anyway, here's my
problem.
I'm trying to install Debian 2.2 on an old PS/2 386. It was running

I've been running the same system since, oh Debian 2.1 I believe. I
recently went and cleaned out all the libc5 stuff because nothing I
have installed requires it. However, now when I run ldconfig it warns
that libg++2.7.2.so, libstdc++2.7.2.so, and libntdll.so are missing

If I'm thinking of the correct card, it should be supported just fine
with the via-rhine driver.

Hi all...
Has anyone used a D-Link 538-tx 10/100 network card with

Just wondering if its compatible from a basic install of

I have to do some compiling or something?

Are there Gnome 1.2 packages available for potato anywhere?
Yes, Ximian (http://www.ximian.com/) is packaging GNOME for several
GNU/Linux distributions, including Debian Potato. If you want to
give
it a try, add the following line to you

Has anyone gotten Debian 2.2 to install on a PS/2? I was able to get
2.0 to install and work fine, but a recent HD crash has made me
rebuild the system. I can't seem to find the 2.0 install disks
anywhere, so I thought I'd try 2.2 (which really is the version I want
on there if possible). I
I compile my driver as a module, but I use no parameters when I load it
as a module. It should auto-detect everything since it's a PCI card. I
could have a different version though. I will check when I get home.
The problem may actually be the nic though. I know I had problems with
my D-Link
I notice in your config that you don't have gpm being used as a repeater
device (I.E. the -R option). That won't work will it? I've always had
to make gpm repeat and have X use /dev/gpmdata in order to make gpm and
X work correctly with the mouse. How can you get gpm and X to both work

I'm trying to get m MS wheel mouse to work in X, but am having no luck.
I've gotten everything working but the wheel, and I'm tried installing
imwheel and reading the docs, but the wheel still doesn't work. I'm
using the mouse in X via gpm (/dev/gpmdata), and nothing I have tried
has worked.
I have a MS Intellimouse that I have working with gpm and X just fine,
however I have not been able to get the scrolling ball to work.
Depressing it works as the third button, however. I have looked at the
scolling mouse howto on my machine and online, but I haven't found
anything that will get
What do you mean by removing th gpmdata? Did you just not include the
-R option? If so, what options did you use in X? I tried not running
gpm and still couldn't get the scrolling mouse to work.

Use XF86Setup, it's MUCH easier. If it's not installed on your system
(can't remember if it's a separate package in 2.1 or not), then you can
find it in dselect under xf86setup or do an apt-get install xf86setup.
I've never had a problem with the config file from this program, and
