I just built a testing box that is using the 2.6.4 kernel, a matrox g200
graphics card with framebuffer compiled into the kernel. I am now
working on font problems.
1. In xemacs, I can get a very nice looking font for the actual editing.
However, the menu bar (where things like file, edit, etc.
And another thing.
When gv or ggv display some postscript files (probably bitmap images)
they look like shit. On my box at work, they look just fine. Any
suggestions?

I have chatted with people at AMD about the AGP bug and they contend
that it is fixed in the in 2.4.20 kernel. Is this true in the debian
2.4.20 kernel sources package? My machine still hangs randomly, and
when it does, XFree86 is running at ~98% cpu.

I use exim on every one of my debian machines. Did you let it know to
use a smart-host? You probably need to know the name of the mail server
at our ISP.
Regarding your hostname, you can specify what you email address should
be (usually set by your ISP). The local host name shouldn't matter.

So I'm in some very deep trouble. I upgraded Xfree86 to the 4.1 level in
potato without making a debian package. Then, when I tried to install xine
from the testing tree I hosed the system. I have now done a complete
system upgrade to testing and everything works except X11 (a big exception).
