HEllo,
can anyone tell me where does dpkg store its preinstall and postinstall
scripts when installing packages ?
I have /var mounted noexec, and want to link those directories to /usr.
/var is not place for scripts.

It seems to me that what we have here is a classic case of trying to fix
something which isn't broken.
Simply mount /var in the normal way

/tmp, and /home noexec on some servers ...)
I find that noexec is only useful on NFS-mounted filesystems if you are
trying to prevent spoofing. There's really not a benefit in
