I decided to install the firmware because each boot reports an ACPI BERT error record which was written by some firmware during the previous uptime (or at its very end). Regrettably the message did not vanish and leaves me clueless what firmware wanted to report what problem. Thanks for the help. Have a nice day :) Thomas
