  I've already tried on the German Debian list. Unfortunately without
success. Maybe someone here can help me.

  For some time now Authentification with Apache Webserver does not work
anymore. Of course I've checked configuration plenty of times and
provided username and password are definitely correct.

  Nevertheless Apache does not allow me to acces protected directories.
Changing Apache to loglevel=debug gives me the following:

  The same happens with Apache as with Apache-SSL.
