It has been suggested to me that I should investigate bootstrap
for for my atypical requirements. While reading, I came across
multistrap which may be a better match to some of my longer term
objectives.
Environment:
A laptop dedicated to experiments (I routinely completely erase
the whole disk.)
Security is not an issue as:
1. only I have physical access.
2. there is physically no networking capability (local OR
internet).
Squeeze (6.0.5) will exist on the the 1st partition.
The first DVD of Squeeze (6.0.5) will serve as only available
repository.
Both the current and 'to be installed' architectures will be the
same.
