I have got a problem here that's been driving me nuts for about a week or so. I did a dselect upgrade last week and now I can no longer reach sites that are beyond my local subnets.
I can ping any of the machines on my little toaster-box home network. I can ping loopback. I can ping any of the machines on my ISP's network ( dialup modem server, web server, ldap, mailhost etc ). But I can not ping any sites that are on the Internet. When I do try to ping something like sunsite.unc.edu, the DNS address is correctly resolved, but then ping just sits there and does nothing. I am going to go ahead and post my 'route -n' and 'ifconfig' outputs. If you need any more info, or have any ideas at all please let me know.
