Does anyone know the secret to getting Etch to power down the system
after a halt. I have tried 'apt-get install apmd', but it doesn't
seem to have helped.
I know the hardware can do it, because it worked with the very old
version of Ubuntu I tried before Debian (5.04).
The machine is a Dell
