Hello all,

I have a Server that I have updated several things as of late. I upgraded
the debian version to Sarge. I have built a new kernel version 2.6.8. I
have upgraded the mother board and processor (Asus K8N - Sempron 3100+).

Anyway I kept the old (3 years) Adaptec Model:2400A SCSI Raid 0 array,
with IBM SCSI drives. I remember back when I put in this setup in the
server it seemed like I had to put in a couple of lines of code in some
config file to make it run at the proper speed. But being that was 3 years
ago and my memory seems to be failing by the day I cannot remember what it
was I did to make this raid array work like it should. And searching
through all the Debian list archives have yielded nothing.

The Raid array does work fine it is just slow. Here is a print out below.
of the SCSI raid compared to the IDE on the same machine. Also included
the partial output of the /usr/adm/dmesg about Adaptec 2400a.

Any ideas on how to speed up this SCSI raid array?

Thank,

Ken
