i believe the driver is outdated i had to update my driver.
you can get an updated driver from:

or

i use the one from www.3com.com and it works great on my 3c905Cs

While installing frozen on a new PIII intel system I ran into problems
with the 3Com card 3C905C.
Using the install floppies the 3c59x driver installed ok. However, on the
1st reboot the log files show:
