I've upgraded my news server to Woody (I know - I was on holiday and busy and things...) following the blurb in /usr/share/doc/inn2/NEWS.gz. I'm finding that INN is returning empty replies to requests for lists in /var/lib/news/, like active and newsgroups. It does however list stuff in /etc/news
