I recently got VArStation YMP from VA Research. (I've been quite happy with it so far.) It came with Debian pre-installed (see http://www.debian.org/news.html).
Anyway, I accidently deleted the X server for the Matrox Millenium II graphics card.* Judging from the old status files, the package I need is xserver-svga3.3.1-1. The cd's that came with the system have 3.3-4, but this won't work because that version does not have support for the Millenium II. The only other version I could find on the Debian site was 3.3.1-2, but I'm am not ready to upgrade to glibc just yet. If anyone can give me a pointer in the right direction or send me the package I would really appreciate it. Thanks, -John Marter [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------- * In case you were wondering how I could have deleted the package, this is what I think I did. The first day I opened dselect to see what was installed. On exit, there were a couple of dependecy conflicts, but I didn't bother to look at them. I just hit enter and accepted the defaults. The second day, I went in to install some packages, and I went through all the steps. On step 5 (remove old packages), I saw the SVGA xserver being removed. ------------------------------------------ -John -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
