dear all, My system is (was) dual boot with debian on a partition of 5 Mb and windows on the other 13 Mb. Everything was working fine till I ran the norton-antivirus on a file. NAV reported that the boot partition has been changed and this is a virus like activity. I was just out of mind and

Kundan, It ain't destroyed first off. Get your boot diskette out (you DID build a boot diskette right!). Boot on it, and rerun lilo. Should get you back on dualboot in seconds. If you don't have your boot diskette, fetch toms root boot ... I just checked my local archives, and for whatever

I think all you need to do is boot off a disk. I generally have a couple around, I make once once in awhile when compiling a new kernel. If you don't have a kernel on a disk, you can (I believe) download one. I think they're made as part of doing a disk install, and you could download the images
