I have a mix of testing and unstable debian packages with KDE 3.1 beata debs
instaled.
All was ok but lately i have in xsession-errors notifications "Can't connect
with kcookijar" and "Can't connect with kded". Of course I can't print (the
message is "A print error occured. Error message receiv

Update: after a bit more thought, I was able to work around the problem with
a little ruby script that pulls out the -#num argument, if present, and calls
lpr the correct number of times... but I'd still like to solve the original
problem, if anyone has any ideas...

I tried CUPS, but it does not work with my Epson Color Stylus 800.
I configured LPR with Apsfilter and GS uniprint drivers. It works great with

I am running slink and have kde desktop setup and running nicely.
However, I can't seem to get any printing done in it. It seems that when I
print in kmail or with the kde web browser I get a whole bunch of ascii
characters output into my printer and subsequently printed. I have no
