Hi
Table and tabel.anyway
You say that you have tre paritions total, right? And linux is installed
on the second partition on the first drive (hda).
And then you have windoze on the first partition on the second
harddrive(hdb)
Then, let's say they are all primary partitions then you would
Hi
The part that contains 'lba32' is wery important when you use windoze, I
dont think windoze will boot at all without it.

it should explain to you what lba32 is all
I reinstalled Linux on HDB with HDA attached. Next I edited the /etc/lilo.conf
file as suggested below. This worked!! and I can now boot both Win98 and
Linux!!
I guess by doing this it put LILO in the MBR of /dev/hda (Win98).
There are ways suggested to go aroung reinstalling Linux but the above

I can boot up with Linux, but with Win98 the system just hangs, no error
messages. How can I fix this problem?
I think you'll find that Windows needs to be on the first
Hi
It all looks ok, but I don't know what you need tabel=/dev/hdb for in
your win part of lilo.
I have several systems with dualboot, but never used that one before,
never seen it either:)
Try to remove it, then run lilo and try boot up in windoze.

Hi
I really don't think you'll need windoze on hda1, well...I know you don't.
I have done several tests and there is just the same where you put
windoze, if the partition is first, middle or last. If it's primary or
secondary doesn't matter either.
But you are right in a way, it's most common

Interesting. I've never had Windows 95/98 run happily from anywhere but
the first primary partition. Not that I've particularly tried; always seemed
just easier to put it

If I want to try with Win98 on HDA and Linux on HDB, how do I put LILO
in the MBR of /dev/hda?
What should boot point to in that case?
I think /etc/lilo.conf should

I understand the lilo.conf file you suggested. Only problem is that when I edit
the file with Linux on HDA, I have to uncomment the Win98 part, otherwise
I get errors running lilo. BTW, I have lba32.
On booting up with Win98 on HDA and Linux on HDB it goes to Win98 without any
choice. If I
