I am using le...@i686 with an onboard PCI Realtek 8101E network
controller. Lenny modprobe r8169 for this device.
After cool bootup (computer powered off and then power on), from time to
time the network controller will give no response. However, in case of
warm boot (OS reboot), it always works fine.
I tried official r8101 driver from Realtek, the same. The r8101 I tried
is r8101-1.011.00 updated on 2008-12-29:

Found similar problem fixed by using r8101-1.006 from Intel:

I also got an driver r8101-1.007 from Intel site but not solved my problem.
No problem with Windows XP, either cool boot or warm boot.
Any idea?
