which Debian package would you recommend for hard disk cloning,
provided that UUIDs related to both file systems and/or the LVM (PVs,
LVs, VGs) should be changed in order to be unique?
Is there a package around that's able to take care of this or would
you recommend writing a custom

first of all, thanks for your quick reply. Do you know of any reliable
way to clone (concerning the LV+VG parameters) and changing the VG
name (though I admit that this question is more appropriate for the
LVM mailing lists)?
