Well, I fianlly figured this one out. It was a stupid oversight on my part. Somehow I had checked one of the options for thw AIC7xxx to compile in the firmware. Well, guess what. I had no firmware to compile in. I found out that it was checked and upon unchecking it and recompiling everything wo

Hi! This is quite strange, as the file /usr/src/linux/drivers/scs/aic7xxx/aicasm/aicasm_symbol.h does not even contain the string "aicdb.h" here at my machine (kernel-source-2.4.18). I've also compiled this driver several times w/o any problems. So I would suggest that you should look into the aic

Hi everyone. I am trying to compile a 2.4.18 kernel and am running into problems when the SCSI section tries to complete. I downloaded the kernel from kernel.org and have tried many time to get it to work. Can anyone give me an idea as to what I may be doing wrong?? The error I get when doing m
