We are beginning to receive complaints about the above error message preventing mail deliver to our network. Unfortunately, in some cases it appears to be intermittant...
However, we are receiving the "reply: read error from" message from numerous sources that are now forwarding their bounced messages to us from other accounts. According to the Sendmail FAQ: "If you get a lot of them in general, you may have network problems that are causing connections to get reset." We don't appear to have any network issues at this time. We're using Sendmail 8.9.3-21 and are seeing this only from some hosts. Anyone have any clues as to what is causing this error?
