I tried /sbin/halt and /sbin/poweroff in /etc/inittab
The actual line in /etc/inittab at present is
ca:12345:ctrlaltdel:/sbin/halt

Use shutdown -h now see man shutdown

Hi
I have installed debian 2.0 in a IBM netfinity 3000 machine. My problem is
when the machine is halted, sometimes it hangs after the message
Shutting down cron
Any ideas of what to do?
