If it's a plug n play soundcard, install and run the isapnp package. Next, Recompile your kernel for your specific sound card. I've done it... and it took me a couple of hours reading the docs, setting up isapnp and recompiling the kernel. Can Debian implement what redhat does if a computer has a soundcard? Simply run sndconfig. I've tested it and it really works. It only took me 2 minutes for the soundcard to work in redhat. regards, = ===== Andre M.
