VM (Emacs mail reader) maintainer?

The VM mail reader has recently gone through several releases but the Debian package isn't keeping up. I've been installing it in /usr/local/whatever but would like to be able to use the .deb files. Who maintains this (or how can I find out)? I would like to encourage him/her to stay on top of th
