I have had some serious bug reports about this release (see bugs 61515 and 61573).
If you are tracking woody (unstable) this may affect you. Please do not let the postgresql packages be upgraded automatically; put them on hold. If you decide to upgrade, make absolutely sure you have a backup of $PGDATA (defined in /etc/postgresql/postmaster.init) and also that you have installable debs of 6.5.3-16, so that you can go back if necessary. ================= To ftp maintainers: please remove these packages from woody to experimental: Binary: ecpg_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb libpgperl_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb libpgsql2_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb libpgtcl_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb odbc-postgresql_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb pgaccess_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb postgresql-client_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb postgresql-contrib_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb postgresql-dev_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb postgresql-doc_7.0-0.beta3-2_all.deb postgresql-pl_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb postgresql-test_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb postgresql_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb python-pygresql_7.0-0.beta3-2_i386.deb Source: postgresql_7.0-0.beta3-2.diff.gz postgresql_7.0-0.beta3-2.dsc postgresql_7.0.orig.tar.gz -- Oliver Elphick [EMAIL PROTECTED] Isle of Wight http://www.lfix.co.uk/oliver PGP key from public servers; key ID 32B8FAA1 ======================================== "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
