I now can no longer log into Gnome. It crashes and here is the output of .xsession-errors:
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp /etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/X11R6/bin/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/lib/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l ":0" "jim" /etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup... I can log into KDE just fine. Gnome now just crashes and goes back to the login screen. Not sure where I need to go from here. I have tried safe mode with the same results. Ideas???
