Hi, I solved the problem. since the dav is enabled within a directory of a virtualhost, you need to add a user to the htpasswd file like this: htpasswd /some/userfile [virtualhost-domain]\\[user] in my case this would be htpasswd /etc/httpd/conf/davauth vbzedelgem-dorp.be\\koen (the double backslash since it otherwise ignores it.)
