I'm running Wheezy/Xfce in a fresh install. I went to Xfce because of issues with Gnome3. The fresh install was done using a netinst CD that is advertised as being specifically for installing Xfce, but it also installs large chunks of Gnome. I purged the Gnome stuff after the install was finished.
