Xwindow help needed

Xwindows still doesn't work. It won't install, and startx no longer exists. Somehow, I have Xfree86 3.3.6 instead of 3.3.5. I had to reinstall debian after win98 on the same disk crashed. Anyway, I reinstalled Debian (slink), did apt-get update and ended up with Xfree86 3.3.6 to my surprise. Whe

Yay! I have X again. Ok for those also having similar trouble (Hi Steve :) I'm going to try and set down what I did in the hopes that this will help till Vincent can get back to someone :) (_anyone_ :) I had gone into /var/cache/apt/packages and dpkg -i'd everything xfree86'ish that I had 3.3.5 p
