regarding apache 1.3.9+ : php vs mod_perl -- all i've got under my belt is perl, and before launching on a whole new learning curve i thot i'd ask some of you who may know---
anybody got any benchmarkings on whether PHP outperforms MOD_PERL or vice-versa? how about development cycle -- which takes less time to get a working module crafted? and are there things PHP does better, and other things where MOD_PERL is better? sql database access/update, generating forms, standard stuff. -- volunteer to document your experience for next week's newbies -- http://www.eGroups.com/messages/newbieDoc
