On both my tibook & my ultra 5, I have to manually start enlightenment
sound daemon (esd). I tried setting auto_spawn=1 in /etc/esound/esd.conf,
but it didn't seem to take care of automagically starting it. I could
call it from my .xession, but I don't want it to start when using a WM
other than E & I would much rather have a global solution. What's the
proper way to do this?

Also, I would like to turn the builtin speaker off on the tibook. On the
sun, I was directed to the audioctl program, added PARAMS="play.port=0x4"
to /etc/default/audioctl & was all set. I don't see any x86 or PPC
equivalent - is there a way to do this on those architectures?
