Hello Chris Thanks for your response. This solution almost works perfectly. There is one glitch, the reply address on local mail is my email address and not my local address so a reply goes out over the 'net instead of staying local. I guess it's not that big of a deal -- mild inconvenience. D

What I ended up doing was configuring two copies of exim, based on instructions I found in the Exim FAQ at . The primary copy delivers only local mail, and doesn't perform header rewriting. Non-local messages are forwarded to the second copy over port 26, which performs head
