Não adiantava mudar o tema (switch2) que todos aplicativos dependentes
do gtk2 continuavam com o mesmo tema, um azul escuro pesado. Mas o maior
problema é que ele não desenhava os limites dos componentes de interação
das janelas (botões, combobox, etc). Eles estavam lá, os textos estavam
