how do you use a module more than once

I'm building a router to play with out of an old PC an a few Intel EthereExpress 16 cards. How do I insmod or modprobe to for each of the cards? I can load the module for any *one* of the cards by specifying the io parameter, but if I try again I receieve a message to say a module of that name
