I have a production machine which was 95% potato. I had to update the
libc6 libraries to install a couple of woody packages which were needed
by
others.
I found today that latex2html was broken.
The error I am trying to track down is:
/usr/bin/pnmcrop: error while loading shared libraries:
/usr/bin/pnmcrop: undefined symbol: pm_optParseOptions2
I should point out that latex2html is not broken on potato nor on
sid. Unfortunately this machine is now in an in between state.
Since the libc libraries had already been updated, there was no going
back to potato, so I began a very gradual upgrade of pieces of the
system,
in particular latex2html, gs-aladdin, and netpbm (and perl to 5.6).
Running latex2html with the -debug option yields (processing the first

Error while converting image
Error: Cannot read 'img20.png': No such file or directory
The error occurs with pcmcrop provided by netpbm (current with sid),
but I have had no luck tracking down the undefined symbol:
pm_optParseOptions2.
I *really* would prefer not to upgrade this machine to sid, so any
help in tracking this down would be greatly appreciated.
