Hi all, have some problems with Linux boot up. It all started when I was having major problems in Windows and had to reinstall Windows. Afterwards, windows kind of took over lilo and wouldn't show the lilo prompt after I hold down the <shift> key anymore. This has happened before, and I would just boot Linux off of a disk and run lilo again.
But this time the disk doesn't work for some reason. It would start and say: "boot:". After I type in "linux" and hit enter, it gives me a "boot failure" message. What is going on? Do I have a bad boot disk or something? Thanks in advance. M
