make to dep package?

Hi again! I've a short question: If I download a tar.gz file and if I want to compile it, can I make from the source a deb package? Because If I install it from the source I can't purge it, not? But If I can make a deb from the source i can remove it with the dpkg. Have any solution? -- Best
