otra cosa hacer despues hacer varias, por eso quiero ver sus criterios.
Lo que sucede es que no puedo acceder a mysql con el usuario root. Me dice

Ya solucione el problema, simplemente tuve que desintalar completo
mysq-server y volver a instalar. Por supuesto salvando las DB.

Mirate el archivo de log del mysql para ver cual es la informacion
que te da al conectarte.

Eso es por la configuracion en la definicion de logs de tu
fijate que lo tenes funcionando en modo socket por asi llamarlo, si
alguien sabe correctamente como se llama que me corrija, dentro del my.cf
hay una parte donde le dices que escuche las interfaces N, y que te
permita conectarte por tcp es solo una linea del my.cnf que tenes que
modificar es

log= /var/log/mysql.log

Hoy he actualizado mi servidor debian sarge a etch y todo ha ido bien,
aparentemente menos con mysql.
He estado googleando y no he encontrado nada asi que me pueda ayudar.
