Hi all,
I'm trying to compile the plex86-kernel-src package using the stock
2.6.3 kernel from kernel.org on Debian/unstable to no avail.
Errors:
chronos:/usr/src/modules/plex86# debian/rules kdist KSRC=/usr/src/linux

host-linux.c:27:31: linux/modversions.h: No such file or directory

According to unstable's plex86 page
<http://packages.debian.org/unstable/misc/plex86>, it has been
superceded by bochs. But I thought plex86 was a virtual machine and
bochs was an emulator. Isn't there a big difference?

Hi:
First of all: Please excuse me for messing up
the "maildir vs. mbox vs. mh ???" thread.
I am trying to setup plex86 on a i386 Woody box. I compiled the
modules and made a kernel package.
When I try to install it with "dpkg -i" I get:
Setting up plex86-kernel-2.

Yea, nothing firm yet. Having some difficulties with configuring it. I'll
try more this weekend, got caught up in a few projects for work.

As per the subject I'd be interesting to know whether anyone has been
sucessful in installing Windows 2000 as a guest OS and whether there are
any specific limitations (like only being able to run in 16 colour VGA
mode).
Thanks,

Hi,
I wonder if anybody can help me with this one. I was trying out plex86
and it tries to install the kernel-source package and everything seems
to go well except that the deb isn't actually created. I've tried
looking through the output but it doesn't seem to show any error
hen copying all the files onto my disk image
(using losetup, etc).
Anyway, thanks.

Hi,
Has anybody got Win95 working on Plex86?
I've been able to boot-up a floppy image and then run the setup program from
the Win95 CD. It then seems to work at first, doing the system check and
copying installation files onto C:, but at the point when setup would have
gone graphic

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody is running plex86 under Debian? I have a
current sid system running, but there is no package. I've compiled from
sources, but have problem starting a VM. Seems like bochs can't find a
vga font and is panicking.
Any success stories?
