Yes, I do that currently. But the correct way would be for ppp to respond when
the modem
indicates that the connection was lost with Carrier Detect. My script now first
needs to findout
if the connection is lost before it must kill ppp and then restart it.

No me pregunte como, pero accidentalmente borre el archivo /etc/ppp/pppoe.conf usado por adsl-start, adsl-stop y similares.
Existe alguna forma de regenerarlo?, y sino, me pueden mandar su version de ese archivo?

Bueno, si tienes una linea adsl con pppoe, deberias usar el
pppoeconf que trae el debian por defecto, a partir de la
configuracion que hagas se generara el archivo pppoe.conf

Auparavant, je forçais une déconnexion tous les jours (m'étant rendu
compte que la reconnexion était plus longue si elle
, il se peut que tu te sois reconnectés via ppp1, et non
ppp0. Cela m'est arrivé quelques fois par le passé. Si tel est le cas,
tu devrais mettre la partie PPP de ton firewall dans /etc/ppp/ifup.d
et de quoi l'enlever dans ifdown.d

/etc/ppp/peers/dialin gespeichert
Hallo Liste,
ich versuche einen PPP-Einwahlserver mit CAPI und dem PPPD aufzusetzen,
was jedoch an der Authentifizierung zu scheitern scheint.
Ich habe die Einstellungen für die Verbindungen in der Datei
/etc/ppp/peers/dialin gespeichert:

bom, depois de compilar o kernel como os modulos ppp, carregados, no
/etc/modules e aliases no modules.conf resolv.conf com os dns...conecta mas
não navega, algo de errado com Could´nt find interfave ppp0 ; Dispositivo
inexistente .. alguma dica

Elle est DOWN, désactivée (pas UP).

En gros j'ai l'impression qu'au démarrage, la carte eth0 pose un pb ...
il y a un nouveau hotplug qui vorrige des problèmes avec ppp, est ce
qu'il résoud ce problème ?

Hat auf anhieb funktioniert.
Daran kann es eigentlich nicht liegen, denn sobald ich ppp 2.4.2
installiere funktioniert es, ohne das ich irgendwas ändern muss.
