es handelt sich um eine Österreichische adsl verbindung :)

die persist Option nicht funktioniert, wenn der alte pppd hängt, ist die
Schnittstelle für den neuen ja belegt.
persist müsste eigentlich funktionieren, weil
die verbindunung wird alle 8 h von der at telekom getrennt,
nur alle 2 wochen gibt es mit pppd probleme.

I just compiled the 2.4.0 kernel. (I compiled the ppp-support into it.)
When I reboot everything works fine, except for the PCMCIA modem. My
PCMCIA network card works just fine. So I upgraded pppd to version
2.4.0 but it still doesn't work?
