nuts. I've tried to print again, and my printcap is part of what was lost in the partition table fiasco.
Unfortuneately, i don't remember how I figured it out, and can't figure out the options again from printcap. That and what i did figure out before was a little flaky, and i never got non-postscript working. Anyway, it's an HP laserget 5MP, and has an IP adress on my subnet. And I can't ask for local help, because they'd probably go nuts if they knew i was doing this :) also, going through the lprng entries, i don't find a filter for a 5MP; which should I use? rick --
