Yes, I double checked that. As soon as I revert back to installing
xdm, the login console appears on Serial Port 1.

check the install and see if it somehow omitted the xclient! Also,
the 'dlocate' command is a new one on me! I just installed it in my
desktop and it is a *must have* applicatoin. I love Gnu!

Those are: /etc/init.d/xdm and all symlinks in /etc/rc.d that look
something like Sxdm (the Kxdm are responsible for stopping
X when you shutdown..)

Hey there folks. Maybe I just woke up too early this morning, but
I'm having some problems here.
I'm looking for the line(s) responsible for starting my X session
automatically when I boot this machine. Can someone point me in
the right direction?
