I was noticed that my hard drive was out of room. After some searching

Can you send tot the list more information about the problem? for example
the XF86Config-4 file, the output of XFree86...
You can get the output of XFree86 executing as root:
XFree86 /root/output-X11.log 21
With this information it's possible to solve the problem.
Kind Regards.

Hallo,

gestartet sein und da bleiben.
Ist dem so?

xdm is supposed to be run by root, but once you get the login panel,

The X-Windows problem is solved here, now (well, solved

I found the XFree86.0.log file in /var/log/ and had a

so I installed cyrillic fonts and reloaded configs. It
worked. In any case, if others are having the same
I solved the problem by reinstalling perl 5.6 via dpkg.

starts up via xdm, the screen goes blank and the whole
machine locks-up. I had to use the rescue disk to mount
the hard drive and stop xdm from starting to reboot, get

At last resort, I rebooted my machine and it cleared up my X-windows.
I am keeping current with potato changes and am using the XF86_3DLabs
