Hi, based on the xfree.org website, (btw, my xfree86 version is 4.1.0-16)
so.. on the
website of xfree, G450 is already supported using the mga driver.

You've probably figured this out by now, but just to state a couple of
points explicitly:
The HorizSync and VertRefresh ranges are Monitor

That is the Hardware Abstraction Layer and is part of the matrox
driver
