I have some (obscure and probably a bit pervert ;-) interest in this program, and the bugs I'm seing in the BTS don't look especially hard to fix. Unless someone else stands up, I'd be ok to take over the package, though I don't know how long I'll be able to make it live if upstream is dead...

I would enjoy working on dselect. Unfortunately it is rather badly entangled with the dpkg source, and I do not enjoy working on it in this situation. I have tried, but failed, to disentangle it into a separate source package. If someone manages to do that, get back to me and I'll help work
