I would like to request to adopt nas. It is still showing as needing
help, but the RFH seems to indicate it is no longer being used by the
existing maintainer, leading me to believe it is close to being orphaned.

I intend to orphan py++. The projet seems pretty much dead upstream.
Some people have worked on forks to support Python 3.x (see #724647).
I am not using it anymore in my projects and thus would not be able to
