-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I'm the upstream author of OpenNX and just stumbled over this ... >Upstream already provides Debian pacages, but I haven't investigated >them yet; I have seen that there's a directory "wxWidgets patches" on >the sourceforce download page, looks like it's required to patch >wxwidgets. So packaging this might not be trivial... Just some comments on that: There's *no* wxWidgets patch necessary (not anymore for OpenNX). The original issue of wxWidgets (http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/8747) still exists (it's fixed in wxWidgets SVN but the fix never made it into any stable versions), but i managed to work around that. However, *My* current Debian/Ubuntu packages do something that probably never would be accepted by some debian QA process: They bundle nxssh(+patches) as well as several NX libs into a single package. So in order to get an official package those would have to be splitted into separate packages (i would use Ubundtu PPA stuff if it were up-to-date but unfortunately it isnt). Furthermore, they use a directory (/usr/NX) which is not conforming to FSS - reason for that: To be 100% compatible to NoMachine's proprietary client... BTW, you can inspect/fetch the packaging sources at https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=opennx&project=home%3Afelfert (that's OBS which covers debian build targets) Cheers -Fritz -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFNEO2KboM4mAMyprARAsSnAJ9QwjdcEB7WDdEZ4HEqNE5U7qcTUQCePXzn W7iomW/B5xn/aiHzl48qGoU= =5gXw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
