May I suggest leaving the Python binding as a package TODO for now?
What's blocking everyone (including Ubuntu downstream) is the static
header file.

ZEO is now part of the stand-alone ZODB. Is there really a need to
package a separate binary? ZEO is often used, and the code and
documentation is relatively small.
