retitile 156019 ITP: SableVM -- SableVM implements the Java virtual
machine specification, second edition.
thanks

So I decided to take up the challenge.

>From what Etienne M. Gagnon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote to me
- it looks very promising. I expect it to give Debian what Kaffe
isn't able to give at least because of it's licensing (as it is
quite clearly shown in GNU/FSF FAQ and for ex. at
http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/classpath/2001-November/001633.htm
) - move of a lot of java software from contrib to main.
That is the main reason why I am interested in this package(s).

I like what I've heard from Etienne (privately with cc: to sablevm
ml) - I want to belive that facts stand behind what was said.
I'll start with packaging SableVM and it's modified classpath.

I don't promise when the packaging will happen - it may be tomorrow
or in about a week (should not take longer - if there's no unexpected
troubles).

When it is done - I'll be trying to build/run as much java software as
possible - with this JVM (starting with ant probably).

Best regards

                                        Grzegorz B. Prokopski
