The package description is: Squashfs is a highly compressed read-only filesystem for Linux. It uses zlib compression to compress both files, inodes and directories. Inodes in the system are very small and all blocks are packed to minimise data overhead. Block sizes greater than 4K are supported up to a maximum of 64K. . Squashfs is intended for general read-only filesystem use, for archival use (i.e. in cases where a .tar.gz file may be used), and in constrained block device/memory systems (e.g. embedded systems) where low overhead is needed. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 330525-done) by bugs.debian.org; 20 Oct 2005 13:00:11 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Oct 20 06:00:11 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from smtp3-g19.free.fr [212.27.42.29] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1ESa1i-0005sW-00; Thu, 20 Oct 2005 06:00:11 -0700 Received: from smtp.mini-dweeb.org (mini-dweeb.org [81.56.242.187]) by smtp3-g19.free.fr (Postfix) with ESMTP id 327A437396 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 20 Oct 2005 15:00:09 +0200 (CEST) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by smtp.mini-dweeb.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CB0DC62E463 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 20 Oct 2005 14:52:00 +0200 (CEST) Received: from smtp.mini-dweeb.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (velma [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 30155-04 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 20 Oct 2005 14:51:59 +0200 (CEST) Received: by smtp.mini-dweeb.org (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 8A89C62E465; Thu, 20 Oct 2005 14:51:57 +0200 (CEST) From: Arnaud Fontaine <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: ITA: squashfs -- Tool to create and append to squashfs filesystems X-PGP-Fingerprint: D792 B8A5 A567 B001 C342 2613 BDF2 A220 5E36 19D3 Mail-Copies-To: nobody X-Operating-System: Debian GNU/Linux X-Mailer: Gnus/5.110004 (No Gnus v0.4) Emacs/21.4 (gnu/linux) X-GnuPG-KeyID: 5E3619D3 Date: Thu, 20 Oct 2005 14:51:53 +0200 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Gnus/5.110004 (No Gnus v0.4) Emacs/21.4 (gnu/linux) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; boundary="=-=-="; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature" X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030616-p10 (Debian) at mini-dweeb.org Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-3.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 --=-=-= Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello, This package has now a new maintainer and co-maintainer.
